It doesn't take long for people to figure out that I'm an avid fan of arena football, and I don't like it at all when games aren't played in my league for whatever reasons.
I normally avoid writing about labor stuff, regardless of the sports league, because I don't like it. I'd much rather write about on-field stuff.
But this labor dispute is a serious threat to the existence of my favorite sport and league, so I spent the better part of a week talking to people and writing, talking to more people, and writing more. My goal was to figure out for myself what the issues are in this dispute by taking the perspective of all the involved parties. Then I wanted to let everyone else know what I found.
So here's what I came up with. It's not easy to group things together on Yahoo! Sports, and it's impossible to go back in to published articles and add hyperlinks to articles written later, so I'm just putting on the links together in this post for anyone with a lot of time and a deep love of arena football to read.
